Do you hate how JP plays or how he is being used?
Calgary has a strong team. Hate to say it but that's what it is.
Hopefully Edmonton can be thier kyptonite this year. That team that just has thier number.
Edmonton needs to string a lot of wins together over the next ten games. Today is one if the few difficult match ups in an otherwise light part of the schedule.
If they do win the vast majority of the next ten and get Klefbom back then we can legitimately say we are in the race imo. Right now we are relying on everyone else doing poorly than us doing well. That won't cut it. The Oilers are extremely fortunate to be where they are with Sekera and Klefbom injured.
Some good play now and then when Klefbom comes back could really get team in a good spot. I hope they can pull out a win today and moving forward.
Go Oilers! |

Thanks for the new blog Sean!!!
Cordell no shows on weekends now the lazy bugger! Even for a BOA, Hockey Night In Friggin’ Canada Saturday.
I can get my troll on now. Fair game for me to be an ass until midnight because it’s the BOA, as per our usual agreement. 👍
So eat a Richard Oilers, and your lame ass fan base too.. |

A topic for another day but I would argue Jesse Puljujarvi is the only high draft pick that Edmonton has actively "ruined." Jesse has shown flashes of the reason he was a top draft pick but bottom line he has not shown that consistently. This organization has constantly put him in a tug-of-war with keeping him in the NHL long enough for him to lose his confidence, followed by calling him up from the AHL just as he is starting to improve. |

Lol someone has a hard on for the Flames. You act like they have won the cup already. That team will be a no show come playoff time. They will be the western Leafs having great seasons but get bounced round 1 every year because they are small and soft and not built for playoffs. Imagine little Thachuk trying to turtle away from Kassian, Luc, Nurse, JJ for 7 games. They can score goals but the 3rd periods for the Flames this year have been ridiculous and its not something they are going to repeat season after season. How many games have they been outplayed in the first two periods only to go off in the third period and win? Perfect example is the first game against the Oil. I hope we get them in round 1 if we can sneak in. |

I think Oilers fans need to recognize that "built for the playoffs" doesn't mean the same thing that it used to. Instead of worrying about 4 players who's total combined points (56) are the exact same as Matthew Tkachuk has by himself, fans should recognize that physicality doesn't mean anything if it can't be followed with production.
I too hope fans get to see a Battle of Alberta Playoff series. That would be fun to watch. |

Pretty rich coming from a fan of a team that essentially has been on fire in a bad way for 10 plus years.

That’s a lot of if’s, and’s, and butts, even for you Loochs..
Your right, we suck. Like 2nd in the whole league suck. And we only try in the third to win to boot. Imagine if we played for a whole 60 minutes?!? Like when we no show in the playoffs this year?!
And we are soft and weak. So weak we have how many injuries? So soft our depth can’t keep up? We aren’t nearly as tough as Sekera and Klefbom and Russell. Your Kassian is as feared as anybody in the NHL these days. And you have Looch too to boot! Scary. Please don’t break Jenny Hockey tonight, I would have to cry myself to sleep. He’s so fragile it’s like he never ever plays.
Please please don’t “squeak” into the playoffs, the thought of playing you guys scares the poop out of me. I’m literally shaking in my boots at the thought of it.
I’m going to go turtle in the corner now just like our pathetic Chucky that you guys were so smart not to pick and take superstar Jesse Puljujarvi instead..
Good post Loochs! |

Disclaimer!!!!!!!!!!
Irish is going to be a complete asś clown today (yes more than usual) as per our BOA days agreement.
Many of you are my friends, pathetic as that may be, so please don’t take me seriously today like you always do every other day.
I will try my utmost to make your day as miserable as possible thanks in part to me having to work today, and the Oilers just being such a completely pathetic team. And Chia.
So you have been forewarned.
These BOA days make me so happy! |

Yeah not saying we are going to win just hope to see the emotion that was in the first game we played.
We should start a petition and get Jero and Iggy back for the BOA games |

They’re heating up now. I can see them going on a 10, 12 game winning streak easily. They just have to much depth not to.. |

I’m not buying this light part of the schedule stuff....if that was the case then we should have beat Arizona and the Kings.....this team isn’t good enough to view any teams as “easy wins”
